At The Park.

After the Bellagio, we took the girls to the park! We had a blast!!

The other day we went to the Bellagio to look at the Fall themed Conservatory! The girls LOVED looking at all the pumpkins!

Potty Training Day 3

Carlie did great in the morning!

We had a few things to go do, so we put her in a Pull-Up and went and did our errands.

I think she will have this down by the end of the week! She still hasnt pooped on the potty, but im sure that will come soon!

Potty Training Day 2

(Im sure you all are getting tired of potty posts, but I need it for MY record!)

This is how yesterday went:

8:15am CARLIE pee'd on potty
8:20 CLAIRE sat on potty chair ... still no pee
8:45 CLAIRE pee'd in underwear.
9:35 CARLIE sat on potty, didnt pee.
9:50 CLAIRE sat on potty, still wont pee.
10:00 CARLIE pee'd in potty
10:20 CARLIE poop'd in underwear.
10:25 CLAIRE pee'd in underwear
10:35 put CLAIRE back in diaper. she's NOT ready. (she told me herself "I cant do it")
12:05pm CARLIE TOLD me she needed to pee on potty! HOORAY!!
12:35 CARLIE poop'd in underwear.
1:20 CARLIE peed in potty
2:00 CARLIE pee'd in potty
4:10 CARLIE pee'd in potty (stayed DRY during nap!)
4:25 CARLIE pee'd on potty. She told me she needed to go!
5:50 CARLIE pee'd in underwear. I tried to get her to go pee twice, but she just sat on the potty begging to get off and go watch TV. So, she got so busy watching TV she must have forgotten to go pee. oops.
6:15 CARLIE pee'd on potty
6:40 CARLIE pee'd on potty
7:30 CARLIE pee'd on potty

Day 2 was MUCH better than day 1. Carlie is really getting the hang of things. I just need to get her to poop on the potty.
I decided I will wait to potty train Claire. She shows NO interest what so ever. She's just not ready. Hopefully she will be soon.

Potty Training Day 1

This is going to take more than a few days I think!

We had about 5 accidents between the two girls.
I put Claire in a diaper for her nap, because she hadnt pee'd in the potty at all yet. After her nap, I got her back in underwear, and she didnt have any accidents, but she hasnt pee'd in the potty yet.

Carlie stayed in her underwear at nap time and stayed DRY! And I was able to get her back in underwear. After she begged and begged to be put in a diaper! (She pooped in her diaper, and after that she was fine to go back into underwear) She did have an accident while I did a few things around the house, and forgot to ask her if she needed to pee. But she DOES pee in the potty when I remind her.

The treat thing, didnt work so well. I got some M&M's and put them in a small Halloween bucket (from Target, for $1) and Carlie thought she could have the entire bucket full of treats after she pee'd... she wasnt ok with just having 2.

The sticker chart ... same as above. And Claire felt pretty left out. I let her put a sticker on her chart for putting her panties back ON after nap time.


So tomorrow, we will try again!

Today is the day!

I decided to try potty training the girls today. We dont have to be anywhere this week, so I am commited to doing it!

Originally I was just going to train Carlie. She has pee'd on the potty a few times before, and has shown the most interest. That idea went out the window when Carlie pee'd this morning and got a treat, and Claire didnt. Claire decided SHE wanted to pee on the potty too! So they are both in big girl panties, and we have only had 3 accidents. Carlie had 1, and Claire has had 2. Claires accidents have been right after she has gotten off the potty. She says "I cant do it", then pee's in her panties! So frustrating!!

I am making a potty chart, that they can put stickers on when they pee. We have had 2 potty parties for Carlie, and I am bribing them with TREATS. If anyone has any suggestions, for two of the most STUBBORN little girls, let me know! Wish me luck!

**UPDATE**
I put Claire in a diaper for nap time, and now she wont let me put panties on.
Carlie stayed in panties during her nap, and stayed DRY! BUT, since Claire had a diaper on, SHE wanted a diaper on. She screamed and kicked and screamed some more until I let her put a diaper on. ONE kid would be SO EASY. :S

There was a chain tied to one of the trees in the backyard, and the girls kept trying to pull the tree out! The spent a good 45 minutes doing this!

The girls are always super sweet to eachother whenever we are at the 'Yellow House'. Too bad they cant be like that ALL the time!

We took the girls to the park, and Claire wanted me to swing with her!

Aaron made some homeade Spaghetti sauce. All of the ingredients came from the garden in the backyard! It was SO GOOD!

Paragonah Pumpkin Patch

(BLogger is being weird and is only posting the html of my pictures, and not the actual picture! DUMB!)

We went to a Pumpkin Patch in Paragonah (outside of Parowan) and got to PICK our Pumpkins! It was a lot of fun! Well, other than their being a TON of bugs and spiders everywhere. But the girls got to choose a small pumpkin, and we got 2 bigger ones to carve. The best thing about this pumpkin patch, was the cost! .15 cents per POUND! We spent a grand total of $4.65 for all 6 of our pumpkins! SCORE!

Road Trip

My sister might kill me for posting this, but its the ONLY picture I took of our little road trip!

Last weekend Keri, Kim and I drove up to Salt Lake to see Sigur Ros. Well, I drove with the girls, and THEY went to go see Sigur Ros. (Its a band from Iceland) We left EARLY Sunday morning, got checked into our Hotel, I dropped the girls off at the concert. Then I went and had dessert with my good friend Erin, then I got to go see my other good friend Stacey and baby Scarlett! Then I had to go pick the girls back up from the concert. We got back to our hotel, went to bed, and had to be on the road by 6:30am the next morning, so Keri could go to her 2:00pm class! It was a lot of fun, I enjoyed spending some quality time with my sisters, and I enjoyed seeing my friends! (even though it was only for a short time!) I cant wait to do something like this again!

2 Funny Things.

Carlie is a CRACK UP.

Last night, after I put the girls to bed, Carlie looks at me and asks "Whatcha doooing?" I told her that I was going to go lay down, because I was tired, and she said "I feel you." no joke.

On the way to dance this morning, she asked, "Are we there yet?" You know your kids are getting older when they start asking if you are THERE YET!

Ok, I lied, 3 funny things.

A few weeks ago, we were at the Bellz mall. We dont go there very often. As we were walking out of the mall, back to our car, Claire looks up at Aaron and says "Im Lost!" haha. She knows what Costco looks like, she knows what the Galleria and Target look like. So to her, she was lost!

This week at Dance.

JUST AS BAD AS LAST WEEK.

Both girls yelled at Lori when she tried to include them. (I think its totally RUDE that they do that, anyone have any suggestions on how to make your kids not be such brats?)

Neither of the girls would dance. Claire slapped me in the face, when I tried to get her to go dance (another thing I hate. I wanted to take her out then and put her in time out, but i just ignored it. ugh)

Next week I am going to try to leave the dance room. If that doesnt work, I think im going to take them out. Its not worth me getting mean. or having to go to the bathroom and cry from being so frustrated/embarrassed.

Suggestions are welcome.

my fridge. I have seen a couple of these tags, and have noticed that just about every single fridge has this alphabet set!

My Closet. I sorta cheated on this one. I saw this tag earlier in the week. Cleaning my ROOM has been on my to do list for a while, and I made sure my closet was decent.

My favorite spot in the house. This chair is SO comfortable. I love just sitting here. Sometimes I'll even move it into the family room so I can watch a movie in my favorite chair.

Here Kitty Kitty!

Carlie is obsessed with our cat. He is very anti-social. He stays in my bedroom ALL day, then darts out the minute the girls go down for bed. Lately, I've been keeping my bedroom door open during the day, and Carlie has been trying to catch him. She has done a pretty good job. She will full on tackle him! Its pretty funny! I think deep down the cat LIKES it!

The Lake.

Monday night we went out to the lake. We got out a LOT later than we had hoped, but it was fun. Aaron wakeboarded. I've never tried, and we were really short on day light, so I decided I would try another time. Overall it was fun, and Im glad we went.

Dance Class

I signed the girls up for Tap and Jazz with Lori. The girls were SO excited to go to Dance, and use their tap shoes! We get there, put on their tap shoes, and Claire would NOT come out from behind my legs, and Carlie yelled at Lori for trying to get her to hold her hand. The girls wouldnt participate with the class at all. I was SO embarrassed. 40 minutes into the class, Carlie went and danced with the group, while Claire continued to hide. Claire FINALLY participated when she found out she was going to get a sucker!(that was at 11:55, 5 minutes left of class!) Hopefully next week is better!

Id post pictures, but its hard to get a picture of your kids when they are hiding behind you!

Carlie's trip to the Dentist!

Last Friday, the girls were SUPPOSED to be taking a nap. All of a sudden Carlie starts screaming. It was one of those screams where you jump up and see whats going on. I walked into their room, and there was tons of blood coming out of her mouth. I was able to clean up the blood that was all over her, and realized that her tooth looked like it was going to fall out. So, I called up Dr. Gublers office, and they said to bring her right in. I got her there, we got right in, and Dr. Gubler looked at her tooth (after 5 minutes of me BEGGING her to open her mouth. finally she started to cry, and he was able to get a good enough look) He said everything looked ok, and just to watch for infection. Luckily her tooth has tightened up, and has moved back into place. phew!

Dr. Gublers front staff was great, and as always Dr. Gubler was great!

The Twins Birthday Party!

We had the girls Birthday Party 2 weeks ago. It was a lot of fun, there were 37 people at my house all at one time! It was crazy, but I loved it!

The twins HATE loud anything. So when I was talking to them earlier in the day, telling them what was going on that night, I mentioned us singing 'Happy Birthday' to them. They told me they didnt want us to sing because it was too loud! So I told them we would try to sing quietly. Well with 37 people singing Happy Birthday, it doesnt matter how quiet you sing, because its still going to be loud! This is them while we were singing.

The glasses Carlie's wearing, arent glasses. they are sunglasses that she poked the shades out of. She wore them almost the entire night! She STILL wears them almost everyday! Its hilarious!

Labor Day!

For Labor Day, we headed out to Boulder City with my family, and went to Hemmingway Park. (I think thats the name of it..) Anyway, there were about 70 Desert BigHorn sheep just chillin in the grass. They were very entertaining to watch!


My brother Dave, and his wife Linda were kind enough to play with the girls on the play ground.
And here are the sheep. No, I didnt zoom at all on my camera. This is how close they were to us on our blanket. CRAZY!
And here's me with one of the girls. Do you see the sheep in the background? Pretty neat!

When you have offended someone, it is hard to get the motivation to blog again. I normally LOVE to blog, but recently have fallen out of love with it. But sometimes you (read: I) need to just put your big girl panties on and get over it ... :)
