All Boy!

Oh my goodness, I love this boy. But I have to say, when the twins were 18 months old, they werent as big of a handful as he is! Mainly because the house we lived in when the girls were 18 months old was only 670 square feet, and I could close our bathroom door, and bedroom door, and put up a baby gate that led to the kitchen. They NEVER got into the pots and pans, or under my bathroom sink, or opened doors. They had such a small area to play in, and never tried to escape!
Colton on the other hand, is a HAND FULL!!  Every time Claire or Carlie open their bathroom door, Colton makes a bee line for the bathroom, and climbs up on their step stool and plays in the sink. He LOVES to pretend to brush his teeth, and wash his hands.

Colton likes to climb up and stand on just about anything that he probably shouldnt. Like his new toy from Grandpa Paul. He loves it, but also loves to stand on it! Scares me to death!

Colton also likes to pull out the chairs at both tables, and stand on them, and rock back and forth. CRAZY!
This morning after the girls went to school, we forgot to lock the front door. We dont have the round door knobs, we have the door handles that you just pull down. Super easy for a little kid to open. And no ways to kid proof, that I know of! Colton opened the front door, and played in the courtyard. I knew he opened the door, and knew the gate was closed (thankfully!!) so I grabbed my camera to take a picture. He was just having a grand ole time trying to ride his sisters bike!
All Christmas season long, Colton would get up on our fireplace ledge, and run back and forth. He doesnt it do it now that the stockings arent there. Thank goodness.
Our cat, poor little thing. The cat kind of likes Colton. He always lets Colton pet him, well, more like smack him pretending to pet him. The cat never let the twins get near him. But the cat acutally comes up to Colton and sits next to him. maybe he wont do that so much now that Colton has discovered his whiskers.
And we've seen this picture before, but he does this all the time. He has to be able to get stuff from the top toy bins! So he sits on the arm of the couch and just grabs stuff. Again, SCARES me to death! Im just waiting for him to fall!
And here he is, sitting all cute and calm. Until he decided to throw every piece of the Nativity Scene. Fun times!

Claire

Claire finally lost one of her top teeth! It had been wiggley for a few weeks, and we thought it was going to come out sooner than it did! She was eating some food, and moved her tooth with her tongue, and it popped out! She was so excited! Now we wait for her other top tooth to come out! (tooth lost Dec 28)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We had a fabulous Christmas this year!
Christmas Eve was spent at my grandparents house. We had a lovely Italian dinner, exchanged sibling gifts, and the kids got to open gifts from all of the grandparents. We were up pretty late!

Since we didnt get home till almost midnight on Christmas Eve, we let Colton sleep in while Claire and Carlie got to open their gifts from Santa! Looking back I kind of wish we woke up Colton so we could he see excitement of everything under the tree, but a happy sleeping baby is hard to pass up!

After we opened gifts at home, we headed over to Aaron's dads house, and had brunch with his sisters. The girls loved playing with their cousins, and got to open gifts from Aarons side of the family! Paul and Virginia make the best brunch! We have a ham, Armadillo eggs (cheddar, wrapped in Jalepeno, wrapped in sausage, wrapped in a biscuit) Chile relleno, and cinnamon rolls. I look forward to Christmas brunch all year long!
After we left Pauls house, we got ready to have my parents and Keri and Joey over for dinner. Before they came over, Aarons mom and step dad stopped by to give the kids their gifts. Its always nice to see them when they are here!
For Christmas dinner, we had ham, funeral potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, and cheesecake. We ate SO much Christmas weekend!

We had originally planned on going up to Parowan for New Years with my parents to play in the snow. But, we have had some really warm weather this winter, and there wasnt any snow on the ground in Parowan. So, we decided to stay home. We invited my family over for games, Dave and Linda came, and Linda's parents, grandpa, and younger brother came too! We had lots of food, played Just Dance 3! We watched the firework show (that was on the Strip) on TV, then went outside and popped Poppers and made a huge mess ! It was a LOT of fun, and I look forward to having a big party again next year!
