Library

The girls LOVE books, so I have started taking them to the Library to check a few out. At first they were a little confused. I had to explain to them that they could go and look for some books, sit down and look/read them, and then if they wanted we could take a few home. Once I told them how it works they went and got some books to read! It was a lot of fun, and they enjoyed being there! We look forward to going back again soon!

Swimming, and swim lessons.

We've been swimming a lot lately. Aaron has even been able to go with us a few times! The girls loving floating around on their noodles!
The noodles are great fun, BUT, I wanted the girls to start swim lessons so they actually LEARN how to swim. My friend told me about a lady in her ward, and the girls LOVE going to her! She is AWESOME! (and really inexpensive. like seriously, way cheap) In the first week, the girls have learned how to float on their backs, and kick by themselves around the pool on a kick board! They are doing great, and havent cried once! I am SO proud of them! They are currently in Level 2, but I bet in a few weeks they will advance to Level 3. Again, I am so proud of them!  below is Claire learning how to float (this was the first day)
Above, is Carlie learning how to work the kick board. (again, taken on the first day of lessons)

Gone Fishing

A few weeks ago we went up to Parowan to finish planting the garden. Well, it had been raining quite a bit, and everytime we walked out to the garden we (and in 'we' I mean Aaron) would sink about 3 inches into the ground! The garden was soaked! So, we werent able to finish planting. BUT, we did manage to go up to the Yankee to do a little fishing.
After fishing for about 30 minutes (we didnt catch anything) It started to HAIL on us! So we hurried and packed everything up, and headed to the truck. We decided to go visit our friend Randys family up in Panguitch. On our way up there, we encountered some NASTY weather. It snowed. In JUNE! CRAZY!  Randys family had some puppies, and the girls had a blast playing with them! They were soooo dang cute! It was really hard not to bring one home with us!
And heres the garden. The corn has already sprouted, and a few tomato plants I think already had little tomatoes on them! I cant wait to see what it looks like next time we head up there!

I read a blog called Regarding Annie, mainly because we have the same last name, but she's also really funny.

THIS was her post today. And it had me laughing. If you are pregnant you should go read it right now. Even if you arent pregnant, head over there and have a laugh.

34 Weeks

I am 34 weeks today! I cant believe I only have 6 weeks left! It seems like it has gone by really fast. I hope the next 6 weeks don't come so fast. I have TONS of stuff to do before the baby gets here!  The baby is officially head down, which is exciting. He was breached for a while, and a few weeks ago, I had some contractions, and that's when I think he flipped. I haven't had any contractions since then, so that's good.
I am feeling great! I still get a decent amount of sleep. I don't have heartburn nearly as much as I used to. I still have a good amount of energy.  Bending over to get stuff is kind of difficult! In fact, I don't think I CAN bend over, I have to squat down, and that's just not fun!  I feel bad for Claire and Carlie - my patience runs very thin these days. They have a mean mom some days, but I try to remember that they are only 4, and I need to try harder not to be so grouchy, and not yell as much.

Dance Recital!

Last night Claire and Carlie had their dance recital. They did SO well! I was worried that we would have a replay of their December recital. (Carlie REFUSED to dance) But, Carlie did GREAT! She even said that she wanted to dance in lots more recitals! I am so proud of them! They both pretty much knew their dances.

I volunteered to go back stage with the girls class and help with getting shoes on and off all of the little girls. So I didnt get as many pictures as I would liked to have. Aaron had the camera, and did a great job video taping, but I forgot to tell him to try to get some pictures as well. oops!

Carlie backstage

These pictures are from the side of the stage. Claire is in the back row, 2nd from the end.

Afterwards we took the girls to SONIC to get ice cream! We let them eat outside, and they were SO excited!

Its that time of year again!

A few weekends ago, we went up to Parowan to plant the garden. (the pictures are out of order. thanks blogger)
Sunday we went for a drive up to the yankee. It was FREEZING!
Saturday everyone got the garden planted. The girls helped with the pumpkins.
And corn. (we also planted, squash, zucchini, carrots, potatoes, peppers) it was too cold to plant tomatoes, so those got planted the next weekend.

The garden is HUGE this year! We have to go back up soon and finish planting some corn! Im excited to see what it'll look like with all 60 tomato plants planted!
