Carlie

Carlie was throwing a fit this morning because her SUN Glasses werent glasses. So I made them into glasses. She wore them like this for a good hour!

When did they start being so demanding?!

I just realized how much the twins are talking! I can figure out just about everything they say. They are pretty much speaking in full sentences. This morning when I got them up, and I told them to go get in their chairs so they could have cereal. Claire turned around and said "I dont want cereal!" It was pretty funny ...

Some of my other favorites

Claire: "I Love It!" or "I Like it" I guess she knows the difference between love/like.
Carlie: "Go get it mommy!"
Both: "I dont want it!" or "Sissy doesnt want it" "I love lue!" (i love you)

Those are just a few of the funny things they say. They crack me up!

Gilcrease Orchards

We took the girls to the Gilcrease Orchards the other day. Apricots were the only fruit available to pick, but it was a lot of fun! Claire kept picking the most un-ripe Apricots! Carlie would pick one, and start eating it! Next time we go, I'll remember not to wear flip-flops! My feet got SO nasty! The Orchards will have Squash, Zucchini, Tomatoes, Apples, and Melons available later in the summer/fall. We look forward to going back!
Apricots: 65 cents per pound! We just paid $1.50/lb at Walmart!

Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired!

The twins have been sick all week. Mon-Wed, they had high fevers, and just wanted to lay on the couches, nap and watch movies. Thursday was the first day they didnt have a fever. Friday, Carlie started coughing. And now BOTH girls are coughing pretty bad. I think I have what they have. My throat hurts. My chest hurts. My head hurts. I just want to stay in bed!

New Shoes!

The girls LOVE wearing my high heels. I saw these cute little dress up shoes at Target today, and decided to buy them! Carlie has the purple, and Claire has the pink ones. (Thats the way it always is)

The girls loved the sounds their shoes were making! They walked back and forth on our tile for a good 20 minutes! I love these little girls!

Playin Around

They look so precious, in this first picture.

This just makes me laugh. The girls have been playing so well together lately! Carlie loved every minute of Claire being on top of her!

Full House!

Yesterday I got to watch my 3 nephews for a few hours. All the kids had a great time running around! I was even able to get a picture of them all sitting AND smiling!!

Feeding the Ducks

Last week we took the girls to the park, and fed the ducks! The girls were so excited to see Geese up close! The Geese were just excited that food was right in front of them! They wanted to snatch the bread out of the girls hands. I was afraid the Geese were going to bite the twins, so we tried to shew them away!

There were a few times where the girls were getting a little too close to the edge! They are so FEARLESS!! All in all, we had a good time!

Quick little trip to California.

Aaron and I went to San Diego this weekend for a little seminar for Aarons detailing business he is going to be starting up again. Friday we got in town, and had dinner with Joanna and her family. I didnt think to get pictures ... oops! Anyway dinner was good, and we had a fun time visiting!

After dinner we headed back towards our Hotel, and we drove past the Temple and decided to get out and stop. I LOVE this Temple! Im glad we stopped and walked around the grounds!
Sister Moon was kind enough to take a little picture of us.

I just love all the flowers that are in bloom. But these were my favorites.

After visiting the Temple, we headed over to CRATE & BARREL! I LOVE that store! We dont have one in Vegas, but I am a die hard Catalog shopper! (well, I do more looking that buying. But they have some way cute stuff! and is less expensive than Pottery Barn) After our lovely stop at C&B, we headed to SeaPort Village. We walked around the Pier for a little while, got some dessert, and saw this Cinderella carriage. No, we didnt get a ride, but I had to get a picture for Claire and Carlie.
Saturday we sat through 7 hours of the Seminar. It was very informative, and Im glad we went. After the seminar we headed to the beach for a little while in La Jolla. We got to one part of the beach and there were these Sea Lions just hanging out! It was crazy.

After the beach we went and walked around downtown and had dinner at some Mexican place for Cinco de Mayo. Sunday we skipped out on the second day of the seminar, and headed back home to see the twins! Aaron and I had a fun filled weekend away, but I just couldnt wait to get home to see the girls!

Mamma's Shirt!

About a week ago, Claire wanted to wear one of my shirts to bed. So I got one of my Shade shirts, (it just so happens that I have two of the same color!) and they girls wore them as pajamas! They just kept saying, "Mamma's Shirt" and "Soft!" They are just too cute! And thank goodness I worked for Shade for so long. I have about 75 long shirts that they can wear!

Carlie Pee'd in the Potty!!

Carlie bug went potty on the potty! Every time I get the twins out of the bath tub, someone usually pee's on the floor. So, I got smart and told them to sit on the potty! Carlie was totally interested in the potty, but Claire, not so much. So, Carlie sat for a little bit, then peed! I was so proud! We jumped up and down, and pretty much had a little potty party! I even made her re-enact her little accomplishment! (Hence the above picture)

Carlie hasnt wanted to sit on the potty again, but hey, its a start!

Please excuse Claires little booty in the background.

Credit Due

I owe www.Sweetshoppedesigns.com credit for my new background! I loved all the different 'paper packs' that were available. I would LOVE to start digital scrapbooking, I just don't have photoshop ... yet!

And thanks to www.sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com for the step by step instructions for changing my blog background.

Claire

Little Miss Claire has decided to be the worlds pickiest eater. She used to eat just about anything. Now, we are lucky if we can find something healthy for her. She loves to stand in front of the pantry, and point at things she might want to eat. I'll make whatever she points at (Ramen, Oatmeal) and she wont eat it! Its so frustrating!

Dont worry, we didnt leave her there for long. And no, she didnt climb THAT high. But she does climb on the first shelf. We had to child lock this door too.

Hopefully this anti-eating phase ends soon. She is already a little too skinny!

What do your toddlers eat?? Any suggestions?

What IS That??

Last night I got home from work, and got the twins ready for bed. As I was changing Carlie's diaper, I noticed a large booger in her nose. Or, so I thought it was a booger. So I went and got the nose sucker thing, and figured I got it out. This morning I again was changing her diaper, and realized the booger was STILL there. I took a closer look at it, and realized, it is not a booger. It is a little light green bead of some sort. Claire and Carlie were fighting over it yesterday, and I guess Carlie figured if she put it in her nose, sissy couldn't get it. Lovely. Looks like we will be making a trip to the doctors office first thing in the morning ...

***UPDATE***
I GOT IT OUT!!! The little bead had come down a little bit in her nose, and I was able to push it out! YAY! Now we dont have to make a trip to the Dr!
