May

Once again, I cant believe it is almost JULY! This summer is just flying by!  Here is our month of May...

My parents recently got their front yard redone, and we have enjoyed going over and playing on their grass. The twins love climbing the big tree in the front as well.

One afternoon we took the kids to a place called Run Plus Fun, its indoors, and pretty awesome!

While the twins were at school one day, I met up with my good friend Sarah for breakfast, then we headed to her parents house to pick some apricots, and collect some fresh eggs.
Colton and Ryan playing with the trucks
Katelyn and Colton cleaning the eggs that we collected. Katelyn is so cute with Colton, and even calls him Coltie boy like we do! So stinking cute!

Another afternoon at my parents house! The girls were playing frisbee with Papa

Carlie in deep thought while doing her homework.
 Claire.
I love the added accessories for homework. Carlie is wearing her scarf, and Claire added a lovely pink flower.
 Colton still loves his baths!

One afternoon we took the kids to the Bass Pro Shops (aka the fish store)

Claire makes me TONS of love notes. I get hand drawn pictures, and notes on the magnadoodles allllll the time, and I just love it!

Soccer

We had another great season of playing soccer! The girls have played with the same team for 2 seasons now, and will play with them again next season! Its amazing to watch the girls get better each game. Last season the girls werent very aggressive, but this season they stepped it up a little, and went for it! I cant wait for next season!

Mothers Day!

For Mothers Day, the twins had a presentation just for the moms at school! They sang us a song, had juice and pastries, and made me this awesome book. The song they sang came from the book "On the Day you Were Born".  It was super cute, and they made me feel so special! Like I said, their teachers were amazing this year, and did so many awesome things with the kids!

Carlie's Garden Play

Carlie's 1st grade class, did a spring play! It was super cute! Everyone had different parts, some kids were farmers, some were flowers, Carlie and a few other kids were weeds, and sang a rap song! It was SO cute! Carlie had an AMAZING teacher, that we just loved!
(find picture of Carlie in costume)

Hoover Dam

As a family, we went on a little outing, to Hoover Dam. We havent been out there since the bridge was finished, so we decided we needed to go see it! Its a pretty amazing structure!

Easter

The kids right before Church on Sunday.

We went over to Nana and Papas for Easter this year. (we always go over there!)
Colton and Abigail like to pal around together, looking to see what the older kids are doing. It is SO fun watching them play together!

We finally got it so everyone can sit together!

We got a picture with Great Grandma Walker. It sure is nice having her live in town now.
After dinner all of the kids went outside to play!

The weather was perfect, and the food was great as always. One of my favorite things to do, is get together as a family over at Nana and Papa's house for the holidays!

Cousins

Saturday morning, Owen was Baptized! We got a picture of our side of cousins! The Baptism was great, and afterwards we went to the Barlows for brunch!

Spring Break

For Spring Break last week, we headed up to Parowan/Salt Lake City!
We headed up to the Yellow house on Monday, spent the night, then left on Tuesday morning to head up to Salt Lake.

On our way out, we had to stop in Beaver to get some squeaky cheese, and ice cream!

We got to Salt Lake, stopped at Chic-Fil-A, checked in to our hotel, and walked to Temple Square! We looked at all the pretty flowers on the Temple grounds, walked through the Visitor Center, then walked over to the History Museum (cant think of the actual name)

Wednesday morning we woke up, and headed out to Hoogle Zoo! Funny story, as we were in line waiting to buy tickets, a lady walked up to us, and explained that she had a buddy pass, and asked if we wanted to get in free! We of course said yes, and got in right away! She also had free passes to ride the train, so we got on the train for free as well! She saved us a good amount of money! Thanks random lady!
The zoo is MUCH bigger than the lame zoo we have here in Vegas, so we were excited to see all of the fun animals! The twins really enjoyed the bat cave and the play area, and of course the Carousel! I think Colton really liked the Elephants.

After the zoo, we went to Bridal Veil Falls, and let the kids walk around for a while. The girls found walking sticks, and had to play in the water for a bit. The water was freezing! But that didnt stop them from dipping their hands in it. Colton of course, had to try to get his hands wet too!

After our walk, we headed back home to Parowan.

When we got back, we colored/dyed Easter Eggs!

Colton had a blast coloring his egg, then pounding it on the table, breaking it open, and eating his egg!

I knew that when we got back to Vegas the next day, we had a busy weekend, so we did Easter baskets up in Parowan. I loved doing it that way, so we could focus more on the actual meaning of Easter on Sunday.

One morning, we walked to the Bakery on main street and had some fresh donuts. Colton had a cinnamon/sugar donut hole, and had it allllll over his face. he was not amused!

In some of our spare time, the kids rode on scooters, went to the park, I painted the twins nails, played on the hammock, went for a drive looking for deer, and actually saw a few!

Funny story, this night, Colton woke up around 1am, so I brought him in our bed for a little bit, and started singing some songs to him, well I was whispering not really singing. I must have been whispering a little too soft because he leaned in real close to my face and said "what?!" because he couldnt hear me! I about died laughing. That kid cracks me up!

Spring Break went by WAY too fast, but we sure had fun!
