Spring Break!

PART 1
For Spring Break, we headed to San Diego! We made our first stop in Coronado to have lunch at a place my boss suggested right by Hotel Del, Miguels! They have the BEST, white jalepeno cream sauce to dip chips in. YUMMY!

After lunch (it was more like dinner time) we headed back to San Diego and went to SeaPort Village to ride the carousel!

And heres sweet Colton boy! Just chillin in his bumbo in the hotel room. He did really well on vacation, other than the sleeping in the pacnplay part. He wanted NOTHING to do with sleeping in that thing! He would only fall asleep if I was holding him, and woke right back up when I put him down. So he slept with us for the most part of each night. Needless to say, I didnt get much sleep while we were on vacation!

Parowan

Earlier in April, Aaron had a Turkey hunt up in Parowan. Me and the kids decided to head up with Aaron and his dad for the first part of the weekend. It was SNOWING when we were driving up. It snowed ALL DAY LONG. There was tons of snow! So, Aaron and the twins played in the snow for a while.

It was a quick weekend, we just hung around inside, watched movies, ate, and thats about it. Sunday afternoon I drove home with the kids. Aaron stayed and hunted till Tuesday. He didnt shoot anything this time. Maybe next year!

Week of the Wedding

\My sister Keri got married back in April! (April 1st)
Keri and Joey were in town for a week before the wedding, and got to spend a LOT of time with us! Claire and Carlie were SO excited to have her around again!!

This picture is from earlier in the week. Keri, Joey and my sister Lindsey took the twins mini golfing! They had a blast!

 Rather than doing a bunch of different posts of what we've been up to, I decided to just make a big huge post.

Back in February, we went to see Dantley Walker (a kid who is going to play for the Rebels, when he returns from his mission) play in a high school tournament basketball game. During half time, in walks Wink Adams! He played for the Rebels a few years ago, and was one of my favorite players. I told Aaron I wanted a picture with him ... so here we are. He was super nice! 

 Claire and Carlie have started dance again! They are loving it! They are getting older, so their dances are getting a little harder, and they both say one of their songs is too fast! But they practice, and are getting the steps down.

 My cousin Melissa moved back to Vegas!! We love spending time with them! We dont see them as often as we'd like (we live about 30 miles away, 60 miles round trip!) With our busy schedules, we dont see each other as often as I would like, but we do love having them back! Our kids play really well together! We went to their house a few weeks ago and had dinner and dessert! Here are Claire, Carlie and Allison! I dont know where Carter was for this picture.

 Claire and Carlie go to a school where they can only wear certain colors. (Khaki, or navy bottoms, and red, white,blue and grey tops) They had reading week, and also celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday. They were able to wear shirts that had words on them! So of course we had to take a picture!

 Claire loves to draw on her magnadoodle. I thought this cat was pretty dang cute!

 Colton is getting to the point where his car seat/carrier is too small. Actually, he is too heavy for me to carry him around in that thing. So, this is him at church, playing on the floor. If he's awake, he doesnt really want to be held. So we end up roaming the halls most of the time!

 Aaron and I went to the UNLV/San Diego State game in the MWC tournament. We lost, but it was nice to get out! GO REBELS!

 Happy St. Patricks Day!

 The girls got to wear normal clothes for spring picture day! They looked super cute!

 This is where you can find Colton most mornings, and before dinner. Roaming around the house in his walker. This has to be the best $25 i've spent in a long time! Colton loves walking around the house, running us over, shutting us in the pantry, chasing the dog and cat and the girls. He just loves it!

 Colton LOVES remotes! he also loves his sisters!

 I put Colton in his car seat and hadnt buckled him in yet, I went to go grab my keys, and he had rolled over, and scooted out!

Nothing too exciting has gone on these past few months! We just get ready for school, go to work, come home, do homework, get ready for bed, rinse and repeat!

8 Months

Colton boy is 8 months old!
He is almost crawling. Seriously, anyday now he will be all over the place!
Is getting another tooth (that will be a total of 3 or 4 depending on how many he gets!)
Can almost sit up alone. He can for a couple of minutes, then he falls over.
Eats a TON.
Still nurses. But, has started to bite me with those 2 teeth of his. OUCH!
Still hates a bottle. We've been working on him taking a sippy cup. but we just havent found one that works yet.
He takes a morning nap, usually an afternoon nap, and goes to bed for the night around 7pm. Wakes at about 6-6:30am.
Loves walking around in his walker. (Chasing the dog, looking for me, pulling things off shelves, running over our feet, shutting people in the pantry)
LOVES LOVES LOVES Claire and Carlie. They love him too!
Still hates green beans, peas, and squash. BUT, I found a new brand of baby food, that mixes veggies with fruit. So now he east spinach, green beans, peas, pumpkin, beets, broccoli ... all mixed with some sort of fruit.
He has started to scream at me or Aaron when he wants something. Its more of a yell. Not a cry, just a yell.

I was feeding Colton in bed this morning, and he started to bite me! (he was done anyway, he was just playing around) so I unlatched him, covered up and told him he was done! Carlie then said "the kitchen is closed Colton!"

7 Months

 Colton no longer fits in his bouncer. And, he likes to roll over in it, and try to get up on all 4's! So, we dont use it anymore!

 Colton gets up on all 4's rocks back and forth, then usually just rolls over to get to what he wants! He's pretty good at moving around by rolling all over the place!

 We got Colton a walker, and for right now, he can only go backwards! He hasnt really figured out how to go forwards! Its pretty funny! He scooted himself under our dining room table the other day! He was totally happy just looking up and trying to play with the screws under the table!

 Colton LOVE LOVE LOVES his binkie! Loves it. Always has it. I think this may be a problem!

Colton is so CONTENT! He is such a good baby!

Colton is getting 2 teeth. It was horrible for one night. He was awake and crying (the most pitiful cry i've ever heard) every 30-45 minutes ALL NIGHT LONG. He didnt want to lay down, he didnt want to nurse, he didnt want to snuggle in bed with me. He just wanted me to hold him standing up. It was horrible. But, luckily after that one night, he went back to his happy self!

Colton still sleeps through the night.
Colton wakes up around 5-6am, nurses and sometimes goes back to sleep, and sometimes he doesnt. It just depends. I get up with him for good around 8am.
Colton LOVES baby oatmeal mixed with fruit. He eats a TON of it!
He takes a morning nap.
Still doesnt take a bottle.
Loves fruit, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas.
Has started gagging on green beans and squash. He hates those!
He is ALMOST sitting up on his own. He can for a few minutes, but then falls backwards if he forgets what he is doing.
Colton is SUCH a mamas boy! If he hears me walk into the room, he automatically starts looking for me. Then once he has found me, he gets this huge smile, and wants me and only me. I love it!
He will sit and watch Sesame Street, and loves Elmo.
He still loves the twins. He loves having them around, and they are so good with him! They love to push him around in his walker!
Colton has a few nicknames. I call him Colton boy, quite often. The twins call him Coltie, Aaron calls him bobo, and Colt.
At Coltons last Dr appointment, he weighed 17lbs! He goes again next Friday, and I bet he has gained another pound or 2 !
I am STILL just so in love with this little boy! He is such a joy in our lives!
